The 530 model is the same as the familiar 258 horsepower matching eight-speed automatic transmission, but it also has a 48v system like its old rivals. In actual performance, the absolute power is still quite good, but it is not essentially different from the previous generation of models, and the performance of some high-power competitors is still relatively close. Ride performance is still very good, up and down gears are very smooth, shift movements are basically unnoticed, there are no obvious setbacks or intrusions in the test drive process, but there is still some drag in the 15 or so fuel collection. The overall dynamic response is well received, and the response of small and medium-sized power requests is relatively fast. Although large power request responses are not available on call, considering that the hardware is also relatively fast, the overall response will be much faster in sports mode. The overall performance of this powertrain is quite good, considering that the hardware foundation can be praised.

Chassis performance separately, in terms of vibration filtering, the overall shock filtering feeling of this car is still relatively tight, for the small vibration of the road is still relatively obvious, subjective feeling is a little broken, some affect comfort. Large vibration treatment is relatively in place, through some undulating roads can better pull the car body, but the up and down movements are still relatively fast. There’s nothing wrong with passing the speed bump, but it’s relatively straightforward.

The athletic performance is OK, but although the chassis feels very tight and the daily driving is quite flexible, it doesn’t feel as good as expected if it is really intense driving, and the roll during fast corners and continuous center of gravity shift is also quite obvious. the rapid center of gravity shift body response is not as fast as expected, but the impression is better than the previous generation models, but there is still some gap compared with some well-controlled opponents of the same level.

The steering feel is generally praised, the low speed is very light with the angle gain is also relatively in place, the high speed can also be relatively stable, the front response is also relatively fast as a medium and large car, and there is no problem with the body following daily driving.

The brake foot feeling is OK, the whole is not very linear, but it is relatively easy to adapt to it, and it is easy to brake smoothly.

NVH is generally praised, the isolation of ambient sound is very good, the suppression of wind noise is obviously better than that of some competitors, and the road noise is relatively obvious, but it is obviously optimized compared with the G38 530s tried on the same road not long ago, and there is no problem with engine noise and vibration control. On the whole, it still inherits the excellent NVH performance of the previous generation models.

Statically, the appearance of this car is still quite controversial. I personally don’t appreciate the front and rear of the car very much. The size is indeed a lot bigger, and it is basically close to some long wheelbase D-class cars in the past few years. At the same time, the treatment of the rear side of the car with the rear door open is similar to that of the 7 series, which does not feel very safe.

Interior decoration is a relatively new design language of BMW, which looks well-behaved. Although the atmosphere lights are dazzling and cool, it doesn’t feel advanced to open every day, and the materials used for work are somewhat shrunk compared with the previous generation. We have passed, car system or BMW before the problem, fluency is no problem, menu logic is general, there is no obvious distinction between various sizes and functions. Some rarely used functions and commonly used functions are arranged in some not very intuitive.

The ergonomics of the front row is generally OK, perhaps to take into account the pure electric model, the sitting posture of this car is not very low, but it is acceptable that the steering wheel position is still a little high if it is set to the lowest, which is also an old problem of the previous generation of models. The new 5 series cancels the back row adjustable, if the back row performance is OK compared with the non-adjustable opponent, if it is much worse than the adjustable opponent and the previous generation adjustable version, the seat waist is a little empty, and the space is not very big, it is not uncomfortable on the whole, but it is not very comfortable. The trunk is deep, but not very neat.

In terms of configuration, the top models for test driving are still relatively rich, and basically there should be some, but the whole department canceled the back row adjustable slightly handicap meaning, at the same time, the test driving has a back row screen, and it doesn’t feel very easy to use. The distance between the person and the screen is closer than the previous 7 series, and the feeling is general. In addition, I listened to the Baohua Weijian stereo on the test drive. It doesn’t sound so shocking on some other models, and I don’t know what’s going on.

Generally speaking, the performance of this generation of 5 series can only be said to be regular, and there is no essential improvement in product power compared with before. although the overall driving is still good, and there is no problem with the ride experience, but in terms of top models alone, competitors have caught up and even achieved reverse surpassing in some places, and the design of the new 5 series is somewhat controversial, of course, it is well known that there are no cars that cannot be sold, only the price that cannot be sold.
