BMW’s false propaganda aroused public outrage, with more than 2500 complaints about “dominating the list” in May

Recently, a third-party automobile quality evaluation platform announced the ranking of domestic automobile complaints in May. The platform accepted a total of 11,400 valid complaints from car owners in May, including more than 2500 complaints related to the BMW brand, ranking first among all brands.

Among the top 10 models with complaints in May, there were 6 BMW brand models on the list: BMW X3, BMW 5 Series, BMW 5 Series (imported), BMW 5 Series New Energy, BMW 6 Series GT, and BMW X4. Among them, the number of complaints involving BMW X3 models exceeded 1,000, ranking first among all models, a month-on-month increase of about 16.2 times.

BMW’s main complaints related to “inconsistent with publicity” and “burning engine oil”. These two things have been fermenting for several months since March, and they are still fermenting. As for BMW’s complaints about “inconsistent with the publicity”, the main response is that BMW’s ID7 car system is inconsistent with the publicity, and consumers believe that its system has been castrated.
As early as March this year, more than 300 BMW car owners issued a joint statement stating that the 2020 BMW 5 Series, 630i, 20-21 X3 and other models had reduced vehicle systems, and the supporting vehicle systems (ID7) lacked functions such as remote upgrade (OTA) and voice control described in the owner’s manual, which is inconsistent with the promotion.
Some car owners have been complaining about this problem for months, but BMW officials do not admit it. Some 4S stores try to appease customers by giving away maintenance or vouchers.
“Boss Cai”, a car critic who has been extremely popular recently, also spoke out on this. “Boss Cai” said that BMW is selling the ID6 version of the car under the promotion of the ID7 system. The voice control, remote upgrade and other functions in the promotion cannot be realized, but this is not reflected in the purchase contract, so it has increased. It makes it difficult for consumers to defend their rights.
