Experience of using 540i for half a year

The congenital deficiency of the N13 engine of 118 will lead to trembling, which has been accompanied for nearly 8 years, and finally made up its mind to change. In fact, I thought about changing 140 a year ago, but now I don’t have to think about it. Production has stopped. But it is said that 125 is more balanced than 140 because 140 is too heavy. Now, it’s the cheapest straight six in the department, only 540i.
The 20 models produced in November 19 were finally opened before going to work after the year, otherwise I would be a little tired to commute with COVID-19 during the critical period. It has been less than half a year now, nearly 8000 kilometers. It’s time to write about your personal feelings and communicate with you. I also went to the jar before buying a car and got a lot of help from everyone. I would like to express my thanks to all the friends in the forum.

Focus on description, no blockbuster.
It’s purely a personal feeling, don’t shoot if you don’t like it!

Let’s talk about driving experience first, BMW.
Chassis:
It’s soft and bumpy over the speed bump, but the support for turning and changing lanes is quite confident.
Power system:
The adjustment of engine, gearbox and throttle response is comfortable and slow.
Lift the brake, idling is also slowly with the car, rather than 125 like a puppy pulling the rope out of the feeling
It takes a while to lower two gears manually, which is so hard that it only appears radical in sport plus mode.
There are comments that the difference between 730 and 740 is the same. 730 uses 20T, taking into account the weight of the car, so in the same comfortable mode, the power system is more sensitive to training, walking at one point, walking in the city, 730 is more comfortable than 740.
Rapid acceleration is very fast, after all, the data is 1 second faster than 125, but not too strong body sense! The 5-Series is so comfortable that the comfort is reflected in the increase in speed, faster acceleration, but not as exciting as the tight body of 125, and maybe the chassis of 125 is not as good as the 5-Series after all. But in fact, it’s a lot faster than 125, especially on the highway.
It’s much bigger than the first series, but you really need to get familiar with it. It’s no problem to wear a gear and get stuck, but it’s really hard to park. There will be several twists and turns in the matter of a small one.

A few other feelings that I would like to talk about:
Comfortable: comfortable to drive, comfortable to sit, I’m sure he won’t drive 125 on the highway.
Quiet: it’s actually a comfortable aspect, but it’s really worth a special order.
Seat ventilation: this thing is actually more important to me than the 30T. When I feel a little muggy on my back, turn it on and feel comfortable right away. It’s worth having.
Nappa skin: it looks thin and slippery, not as thick as Dakota.
Color: it is not a custom-made car, but it is equipped with seat ventilation, so it is very contented. But this color, at most, can be ranked second, if you choose, you will still pick sapphire blue. In fact, I most like the emperor blue at that time, which is black from a distance and deep blue when seen closely.
Tyres: 125 the original tire is Dunlop’s SP SPORT MAXX TT, never skidding. The 125 original tire that my nephew bought at the same time, as well as the tire I changed with 125, and the original tire of the current 540i, are all different brands. This tire, with a little bit of water, not to mention the crosswalk and driveway, is a slightly flatter ground, and the throttle will skid when the throttle is larger. Fortunately, objectively speaking, I never skidded when I slammed on the brakes.
Brake: thought of by skidding. The brake disc of the front wheel is really big, and the brake is really steady. Even if it slams on the brakes, it gives people full confidence and stomps.
Window: it is said to be UV-proof glass. It feels like it is better than 125 sunscreen. There was a dark film on all sides, and the front file felt that the clarity had been reduced, and it was torn up immediately. When removing glue, I feel a little distressed. The master said that you can’t use degumming agent, you can spend it, you can only scrape it with a razor blade, maybe there is a coating on the glass.
Original plot: there is no plan to modify it, except to change the nose to black. The nostrils of the 5 series are very convenient to change.

The overall line is very comfortable. The window line was black, and although I didn’t customize the car myself, the wheels were made in two colors instead of all black, both of which were surprising and satisfying.

Does it look a little slippery? The seat in the middle is super uncomfortable, more than 15 minutes, make sure you want to get off.

This handbox does shudder a little compared with the domestic one.

Can get through the trunk, take a water, put a fishing rod bag is more appropriate.

If the steering wheel is heated by the original factory, it would be better to get a rear seat to heat it, right?
The steering wheel was a little rough when I first got it, and it is estimated that it will be pulped with 125 after a few years.

Front seat adjustment, always feel uncomfortable with the waist here, get off the back pain, 125 never.
The funny thing is, I drove 125 a few days ago, and I had a backache when I got off the bus. What the heck?
By the way, the support of the seat to the neck is not in place, the cervical vertebra is not good, it is more sensitive, you can consider adding a pillow.

The gear is back to the original 118 flat chicken leg, but the back is actually leather, 118 I remember is plastic.

Independent air conditioning in the back row. Now the car is only equipped with power supply, do not give cigarette lighter, fortunately, I also quit smoking.

There is no handle on the trunk cover, but there is still room for small objects that are not commonly used.
