There are two things to be upgraded this time. One is the gray nostrils. I actually bought a set, but the tusks still need to be equipped with the air intake hood to be perfectly installed, so I temporarily gave up today. Leave it to you when you upgrade the radiator.

Removing the nostrils is extremely easy, just loosen the three buttons in front of you and pull them out. I had no experience and removed some screws, but found that the active air intake grille was not moving. Someone asked the new car before that it found that the screws were passive, so we had to check what had been done. At least based on current experience, nothing can be done just by removing these six screws. There must be greater movements.

Back to the topic, remove half of the nostrils of the nose frame, leaving the active air intake grille.

Compared with the one-sided installation, the car is matte and extremely low-gray, which is especially beautiful with this sand-gold accessories. So the full set of accessories cannot escape. Funds are limited, so let’s take it step by step.

The second place to be upgraded is the front roof. The original car has an aluminum part. This time, the M5 reinforcement is also upgraded, echoing the reinforcement of the previously installed chassis. Looking at the forum, it seems that many people are pretending, but they have never seen anyone post it, so I will post it this time. Installation is much more difficult than chassis reinforcements. Please take your time and objectively.

The bottom is the M5 reinforcement, and the top is the original car. The M5 piece is made of one-piece forged aluminum, which is about one-third heavier than the original car part. It was not weighed carefully.

The top bar is just under the sink. To replace it, the entire sink must be removed. To remove the sink, both wipers must be removed, not the wiper strip, but the entire wiper. It took a lot of effort here. After loosening the screws, the wiper will not move and requires a special tool to remove it. You must also be very careful during this period. If the glass is damaged, it will be miserable.

After removing the wiper, it was found that the sink was connected to the glass. Later, after checking the data, it was found that it could be disassembled. After many efforts, the sink was finally removed. After taking it off, it was found that a small section of the plastic groove had been damaged during the original factory assembly. It seems that the original factory’s craftsmanship is not completely reliable. I am considering whether to order a new sink to replace it. Sometimes modifications can not only allow you to understand your car better, but also see some subtle problems, all of which may develop into triggers for major repairs in the future. So the benefits of regularly upgrading parts outweigh the disadvantages.

After the sink is removed, the original roof will be exposed.

After installing the top bar, everything will be restored, and this upgrade will come to an end. It’s a little pity that we didn’t install the original tusks, so we can only wait until the matching parts arrive before installing them together. By the way, we will also trouble with the heat dissipation of the original car. Stay tuned!
