What happened: at that time, I was driving at a speed of about 70 kilometers per hour on the South third Ring Road in Xi’an. Because I was relatively close to the car in front of me (it was later concluded that this was also my own problem, I didn’t have time to avoid obstacles later when I failed to maintain a proper distance). After avoiding this unknown object on the road, I didn’t have time to make any reaction. I instinctively hit the reverse wheel to the left, and duang pressed it. There was a moment of despair, then the steering wheel began to wobble, and at first I thought the suspension might break. Later, when I saw that it was all right, I slowly told you the next thing according to the order of the picture.

The car has no way to continue, quickly pressed the SOS button on the roof, transferred me to the rescue center, and the trailer was towed to the 4S store.

The problem appeared at this time, removed the tire hub can not see anything different with the naked eye, everything is normal visually, but after the tire hub has been replaced. I can always hear a buzzing sound at a speed of 70 kilometers, and there is a slight resonance in the steering wheel. The technician who checked the 4s store several times said it was tire noise. As a big fan of BMW, I know it can’t be that simple. There was no such sound at all before this happened. According to reason, there should not be such a sound after it has been repaired. I was personally sensitive to abnormal noises, so later I consulted a special trainer from a BMW factory. He told me that apart from the tire problem, it was the bearing problem and asked me to check the bearing. Later, when I came to the 4s store again, even the technical manager did not admit that it was the bearing problem, and put forward a funny scheme of swapping the left and right bearings to see if the sound had changed, which was too unprofessional, and the workload was too heavy. I can’t accept the car being dismantled in a mess. I won’t say which store. Although the technicians have a good attitude and a good attitude, this professional standard still needs to be strengthened. The special trainer of BMW can determine the crux of the problem without being on the spot. In the end, there was nothing I could do. I dragged on my acquaintance before ordering a bearing in accordance with the quality assurance procedure. (I have emigrated to Canada for many years, and the five series usually open in China. At this time, I miss the free warranty and maintenance of BMW in Canada, which would have been solved in Canada.)

A few days later, the bearings arrived, and this is the thing. One of the reasons why I like the BMW brand is that all the spare parts of BMW are replaced and repaired with a total assembly. What we can see now is also an assembly, and the real bearing part is still inside this part. Like some Japanese and Korean brand bearing replacement needs to be manually pressed out, so if once the pressure is not good or the technician is not good enough, it would be better not to change it at last. BMW this kind of spare parts actually reduces a lot of trouble for maintenance technicians.

I took a look at the logistics bill. It was sent by the original factory in Germany. There is nothing wrong with it.

Remove the front wheel, remove the brake disc, and the bearing is always in it.

When the brake disc was removed, the pentagram in the middle was the bearing assembly. It was hard to imagine how much impact the small part suffered at that time, but I should be most grateful for the suspension of the BMW, which was unbroken and intact.

The replacement of the new bearing later proved to be a bearing problem, and as soon as the screw was loosened when the old bearing was removed, the oil began to drop, indicating that it was damaged.

After the replacement of the bearing, the high-speed test drive is quiet, the noise is not seen, and the spirit is refreshed. Just ask the technical manager of this store if you are ashamed. It is not as good as a car owner to solve the problem.

On the way home, I came across a couple who drove all the way from Germany to Xi’an. Driving a German brand, I honked and gave them a thumbs-up to express the welcome of the people of Xi’an!

Later, no news scratched the front bar. I have only bought this car for two years, and I have really experienced a lot of ups and downs.

When I get together with my car friends in the evening, I feel better when I have no noise.
