The history of Guozijian can be traced back to the Sui Dynasty more than 1400 years ago, and after thousands of years of changes and twists and turns of years, it is really a strong sense of time collision to put the 2021 BMW 5-Series in this background and picture.

From my own aesthetic point of view, BMW’s design has always been the most inherited and recognizable, especially the double-kidney grille in the front of the car. Although the new 5-Series has become younger and fashionable, the innate temperament of BMW has never changed.

The slender LED headlamp has a more refined structural design than the old one, and the wide and flat double kidney grille stretches the visual width of the entire front.

Antique and modern literature and art, only a few kilometers from Guozijian to Houhai, but it gives people a completely different feeling, and in my opinion, this is just like 530Li can be both quiet and moving, but also has a passionate character.

The high-power B48 engine and ZF8AT gearbox may be one of the better combinations in the car I’ve driven. First of all, the power reserve is very sufficient, no matter what the speed range, only step on there will be some response.

In comfortable mode, the throttle is very soft, and the acceleration is linear. Although there is no sense of pushing back, it can unwittingly push the car to a very high speed.

In sports mode, the whole car will become so radical that it can drop several gears after stepping a little deeper, and the power output after more than 4000 revolutions can be called sound dripping.

BMW’s manipulation has always been praised, but it can only be said after a really long experience. The most obvious feeling is that the turning feel is very delicate and natural, the accuracy is very high, and the intensity is uniform with the change of speed and angle.

The support of the chassis and suspension is good and not stupid, the shock filter is in place and has a very heavy feeling. It’s just that the four-wheel drive really can’t make a difference in peacetime, and maybe you can only feel the difference when you push to the limit or skid.

When night falls, the world in the car becomes more and more colorful. I prefer the interior atmosphere at night to that during the day. There are not many colors available for atmosphere lights, but the starry skylight has added a lot of luxury.

There is no lack of a sense of grade, and there is also a lot of advanced sense.

The orange backlight of the whole car button is very warm, not dazzling but also eye-catching. I like this kind of tone which is warm enough but has no deliberate sense of existence.

The liquid crystal meter can not only display the most basic things such as speed and speed, but also the navigation map, speed limit signs and auxiliary driving information can also be displayed intuitively.

BMW’s auxiliary driving is a good choice, even if it doesn’t run at high speed, it’s easy to use on the ring road. Adjust the following distance, turn on the ACC and maintain the lane, the strength and timing of automatic acceleration and deceleration are well mastered, and the direction can be closely followed by the lane and the route in front of the car. When I am tired all day, walking on my way home, my brain can be emptied for a while, and the rest can be left to the car.

Active safety and driving assistance complement each other, with more probes and radar scanning all the time, even if it is worth a few tenths of a second faster than human response in special circumstances, although I hope there will never be special circumstances.

There was a little pressure when I first started such a 5-series with more than five meters. The panoramic image is very easy to use and useful, whether it is backing up or passing through a relatively narrow place, you can see clearly the situation before and after the car body, so you don’t panic so much.
