Fortunately, the first car in my life was a completely new 1-Series F20 118i, equipped with an N13 1.6T turbocharged engine and a ZF8AT gearbox that is worthy of the industry’s benchmark. However, due to the inherent defects of the N13 engine, the weak speed-up ability in the middle and rear section, the poor NVH and the human-computer interaction and security configuration gradually lagging behind the times, the N13 engine had to be transferred at 90,000km.

After experiencing various problems with the N13 engine, I lost my way and didn’t know which car to choose next! But one thing is clear. What I want is a more balanced car, with both comfort and sports, and excellent quality. During the time when I didn’t set a goal, I tried many cars, including F38, G38, G08, G05, G28X Q5L, A6L, Q8PowerE, GLC,Model Smage V90CC, XC60,CT6, CT5,CC, Touareg and so on. After trying these cars, I suddenly found that: apart from BMW, most of the other cars could not give me the sense of communication between people and vehicles, or the steering damping was too false, the directivity and body follow was poor, or the pedaling stroke of throttle and brake was too short. the feedback force is not linear; or the dynamic response is not following, some are too sensitive, some are too slow. In addition, BMW has become more and more comfortable in recent years, with both sports and comfort, so the scope of car selection is ultimately fixed within the BMW brand.

G20 and G28: the most comfortable 3 series in history, but the loss of athleticism is too serious. Also read a lot of car reviews, and finally lost the election.
G22: it is a pity that it was not on the market at that time, otherwise the 430i after optional sports configuration is really a good choice, of course, it is a pity not to introduce M440i!
G08: an original BMW SUV with the same positioning as the 3-Series, but the SUV was inherently less sporty than the car and was ultimately defeated.
G05: did not buy X5, the fact is bad money! But rationally speaking, in China, the performance-to-price ratio of the X5 is really too poor, in foreign countries, the X5 and the 5 series are the same class of cars, the price is not much different, in addition, the X5 does have a hard wound in the back seat space.

Is the power of 540i excessive? Personally, I don’t think it’s too much, because what I want is his instant explosive power, the ability to increase the speed to overtake and ensure safety in the shortest possible time. So it is not a waste to choose a car with more power as much as you can afford, but accordingly, your control over the car becomes extremely important, that is, you should use it well when it should be used, do not misuse it when you should not use it, and be able to collect and put it freely.
Let’s talk about the choice of long axis and standard axis, in fact, it is very simple, if you value space, you must choose long axis, not so much, standard axis can give you a better feeling of driving control and communication between people and vehicles, so you can choose standard axis.

Many friends will struggle with choosing clothes when they buy a car. Here are some of my personal views and suggestions.
BMW is very kind in terms of personalized customization compared with many car companies (including Mercedes-Benz and Audi). On the one hand, BMW offers a wealth of options on almost all models, including appearance, interior, security and hard-core performance configuration. Like many riders, the money is hard-earned, so they will still compare the prices. to sum up, from May 2018 to June 2019, I almost ran through the 4S store in Chengdu. I also encountered a short-term shutdown caused by the sixth national emission. It was not until I found that I could book a car in the forum that I rekindled the idea of buying a car.
I think booking a car is actually very simple, probably just a few steps:
1. Make clear the model, color and configuration you want. First learn about the transaction price of the relevant models through the Automobile House, veteran drivers and other channels, prepare for the negotiation, and remind you that in addition to the naked car price, you should pay more attention to other additional fees, what things are included, and what is the final landing price.
2. Go to 4S stores to find resources and find quotas. In principle, choose 4S with existing cars, on the way and production quotas as far as possible to discuss the price. The more determined the resources, the easier it is to negotiate the price, and the more secure it is.
3. Pay more attention to the landing price rather than the naked car price. You can accept valuable QJ bags, such as maintenance, maintenance vouchers and so on. Membranes, recorders and foot mats will not be good goods.
4. Under the circumstances that the financial policy of car purchase is cost-effective, you can choose financial car purchase. On the one hand, you can reduce the pressure, on the other hand, you can use this money to create more value. To remind you, there is almost no handling charge for financial car purchase. However, 4S will require shop insurance, or even compulsory purchase of theft and emergency treatment. This store insurance is acceptable, and you can strive for a certain discount. However, if you try to get rid of theft and robbery, in fact, 4S can solve the problem of theft and robbery at a lower cost through third-party insurance.
5. the agreed price and accessories must be clearly stipulated in the contract. No matter how beautiful it is, it is useless to remind that the vehicle price can be directly agreed on in the contract, or the preferential ratio can be agreed upon. Both may have certain variables, and may buy at a loss or make a profit.
6. Other points for attention: in general, there are special concessions for old customers to repurchase; in addition, there used to be big customers, but now the policy has changed, and big customers only include companies and enterprises.
After visiting almost all the 4S stores in Chengdu, I ordered a 540i with the desired color and configuration at a satisfactory price at the BMW experience Center of Baoyuan Bank. When booking a car, I only know that four new colors have been added, and I haven’t seen a real Tanzanite Blue car or a picture. I don’t have any exact news about the upgrade of the car system to ID7, and I don’t know that the guide price will be raised, but everything is very lucky. I chose the right color and happened to upgrade ID7. The contract agreed on the price rather than the discount ratio, and it was not affected by the price increase!

After the decision is made, there is a long wait, and the so-called wave of N-discount begins:
My first sales because I do not know that Tanzanite Blue is a special customization, I need to apply for a quota from the manufacturer and wait for allocation. This quota alone has kept me waiting for 4 months. In this process, I could have chosen frosted crystal white or frosted extremely gray, but on the one hand, I really did not like these two colors, on the other hand, these two cars did not choose the 5AT I wanted, so I gave up decisively! Soon after the decision was made, my first sales left for personal reasons. He didn’t tell me the truth until I said I went to 4S to know the progress of the order and told me the contact information of my second sales. Although I feel a little uncomfortable, I still want to thank the first salesman for his determination. I wish him every success in the future.
My second salesman was actually quite nice, not because he ignored me and actively followed up the allocation of quotas. I thought I would pick up the car in his hand and was full of expectation, but the accident often came faster than I wanted. When the quota has not yet been determined, my second salesman also left for personal reasons. Here, I wonder whether 4S doesn’t want to sell me or my life is bumpy and depressed! Fortunately, I am not in a hurry to use the car, for the favorite model, color, configuration, and this satisfactory price, I will wait.
Finally, on October 10, my third sales told me the good news of getting the quota, but the production schedule was already in early December. Ah, after waiting for such a long time, just wait a few more months, just wait, wait, Finally, I would like to thank the great motherland, because of the good control, I mentioned the love of cars a lot earlier than expected, only about half a month later than the normal customization. Hey, life is like a play, a wave of N-fold ah, fortunately, the ending is still satisfactory!
In mid-March, I finally mentioned my “sapphire blue” 540i, and I will not repeat the process of picking up the car. Although there is a small episode, it is a good thing that it has been resolved successfully!

I have run about 9600 kilometers since I picked up the car for more than 8 months. I would like to share with you my feelings about the car so far. Let’s talk about the advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages:
1. Power
The upgraded B58TU and ZF8AT have achieved the best power system at the same level. The 540i has sufficient power reserve and linear output, which is very close to the foot. In the energy-saving mode, the power output is gentle and linear, the throttle response is slow, and the car will not run if you step on the throttle deeply; in the comfortable mode, the power output is much brighter than the energy-saving mode, and the output is also linear, the push back feeling is not obvious, but the speed is fast enough. It’s easy to overtake at high speed. If you don’t pay attention to it, you’ll get a ticket. In sports mode, the whole car will become tighter, the rotational speed will be higher, the throttle response will be more positive, and the sense of push will become more obvious. in addition, the 540i also has a sports + mode, which has been tried once. that is, the response is more radical, coupled with the S gear, it is estimated that the following track can be practiced!
2. Manipulation
The 540i has the advantages of abundant power reserve, efficient and smooth power output, proper throttle response, moderate damping and accurate steering, solid, stable and flexible suspension, strong linear braking system and so on. These advantages are very coordinated by BMW engineers to provide drivers with a high level of driving control experience. The most intuitive feeling is that when you step on the throttle deeply on the highway, the gear immediately drops several gears, pulls it up to near the red line, the power bursts out, and the cars around you go away quickly towards your rear. Look at the meter, it is close to the revocation of your driver’s license, you have to release the throttle, and all this happens in only a few seconds, if you tap the direction in the process. The whole body will change smoothly to another lane as the front knife cuts the butter tightly to the ground, you may hardly feel the roll of the body, and the suspension will quickly return to its original posture in a twinkling of an eye. In case of emergency, high-performance brakes will give the driver sufficient confidence, the body posture is very stable, the brake is linear and the braking force is sufficient.
3. Comfort
Napa leather seat, the leather is delicate and soft, the soft and hard is moderate, the adjustment mode is rich, the supporting wrapping is very good; the NVH is the best, BMW really works hard in this respect, giving people a very quiet and comfortable driving feeling; the chassis is stable and Q-bomb has no unnecessary movement.
4. Fuel consumption
At present, it has run nearly 9600 kilometers, showing that the fuel consumption is 7.8L/100KM. Although the highway accounts for most of the total, the fuel consumption of 3.0T is enough to satisfy people.
5. ID7 vehicle and machine system
Although the 2020 5-Series ID7 is not a complete version and cannot be upgraded remotely automatically, it is undeniable that BMW’s car system is very easy to use and easy to use, taking the lead in many car systems!
6 、 5AT
Unfortunately, it is not 5AU, but this system does have practical value. It can be said that the driving assistance system, which is second only to Tesla, can enhance driving safety and alleviate drivers’ driving fatigue to a certain extent.
7. LDE follow-up control headlights, HUD, enhanced parking assistance system (including panoramic camera) and multiple comfort configurations, etc.
These are very good configurations, safe and practical!
Disadvantages:
1. The ID7 car system that will not evolve itself is really a few streets worse than Tesla. BMW really has to catch up!
2. Low-speed crawling and dragging is indeed regrettable, which is in sharp contrast to the comfort of the whole vehicle. Although it can be improved through good control by the driver, it will always come unexpectedly.
3. Automatic start-stop vibration, especially during the initial period after the car is started, it really seems like a novice who has no driving talent and does not know what priorities are stepping on the brakes, which makes the driver feel ashamed!
4. Use tyres without air. For the current road conditions in China, if you are not careful, you will cause a flat tire. Therefore, it is not that using tyres without air is not good, but that it is really too easy to break down at this stage and not cheap!

1. Adhere to being a driver’s car and insist on joint innovation in driving control and comfort;
2. In the process of automobile intelligence and electrification, Tesla has many advantages worth learning from accelerating the innovation of power and vehicle systems;
3. Since China is an important and important market for BMW, please really pay attention to the opinions of Chinese consumers and do not differentiate from European and American countries in terms of models, configurations and prices. Because you don’t pay attention to customers, you may be abandoned by customers to a certain extent;
4. Adhere to and strengthen personalized customization. Consumer needs are different. If you better meet customer needs, there will be a larger market.
