The ideal temperature for applying polyester HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl) is generally around 285-300°F (140-150°C). It's essential to use a lower temperature compared to cotton to prevent scorching or melting the polyester fabric. The application time usually ranges from 10 to 15 seconds. It's also advisable to use a heat press rather than an iron for consistent heat distribution and pressure. Furthermore, a protective sheet or parchment paper between the heat source and the HTV can prevent direct heat damage.
