Q
does polyester stink
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
Polyester, a synthetic fiber, is known for its durability and resistance to shrinking and wrinkles. However, its nature makes it prone to retaining body odors more than natural fibers, like cotton. This is because polyester has a tighter weave and a structure that doesn't allow for as much airflow, trapping odors more easily. Additionally, the oil from human skin adheres well to polyester, contributing to the retention of smells. Regular washing, using odor-eliminating products, and ensuring clothes are completely dry before wearing them can help minimize the issue. It's not that the polyester itself stinks, but rather it tends to hold onto sweat and body odor more stubbornly than some other materials.
