Q
what does 2 stroke engine mean
I'm a seasoned industrial engineer with a keen interest in machine learning. Here to share insights on latest industry trends.
A 2-stroke engine is a type of internal combustion engine that completes a power cycle with two strokes (up and down movements) of the piston during only one crankshaft revolution. This means the engine fires (ignites the fuel) once every revolution of the crankshaft, while a 4-stroke engine fires once every other revolution. This gives two-stroke engines a significant power boost. They are commonly found in smaller applications such as chainsaws, mopeds, jet skis, etc.
