The 4.0L Jeep engine, also known as the AMC 4.0L Inline-6, has a reputation for reliability and durability, making it a favorite among Jeep enthusiasts. Produced from 1987 to 2006, it's well-regarded for its torque production and longevity, often surpassing 300,000 miles with regular maintenance. Its straightforward design and ease of repair add to its appeal. However, it's not without drawbacks; the engine is not the most fuel-efficient, and some models are prone to issues like exhaust manifold cracks. Moreover, its technology, by modern standards, is somewhat outdated, lacking in terms of horsepower when compared to contemporary engines. Still, for those valuing robustness and simplicity, the 4.0L remains a solid choice, particularly for off-roading and other demanding uses.

Stephenson's locomotive design laid the foundation for further developments in railway technology, making him known as the "Father of Railways." His pioneering work not only enhanced locomotive efficiency but also played a crucial role in shaping the modern railway system, contributing significantly to the industrial revolution and the expansion of the railway network worldwide.
