Electric vehicles (EVs) are hailed as a superior alternative to traditional gasoline-powered cars for several reasons. Firstly, EVs are more environmentally friendly, emitting zero exhaust pollutants, which greatly reduces their carbon footprint. This contributes significantly to combating air pollution and climate change. Additionally, electric cars are more energy-efficient, converting over 60% of the electrical energy from the grid to power at the wheels, compared to the approximately 20% efficiency rate for gasoline vehicles. This efficiency translates into lower operating costs, as electricity is cheaper than gasoline on a per-mile basis. Moreover, EVs have fewer moving parts than internal combustion engine vehicles, resulting in lower maintenance costs and longer life spans. The growing network of charging stations and advancements in battery technology have also addressed range anxiety, making electric vehicles a practical option for an increasing number of consumers. Q
will check engine light come on for transmission fluid

Release Time:

The check engine light (CEL) is primarily designed to alert you to emissions system and engine issues. However, modern vehicles’ powertrains are highly interconnected, meaning that transmission problems can indeed trigger the CEL. This is because issues with the transmission can affect the vehicle’s emissions system and overall engine performance. Low transmission fluid levels, for instance, can cause the transmission to operate inefficiently, potentially leading to overheating or improper gear shifts, which the vehicle’s onboard diagnostics (OBD) system might detect and respond to by illuminating the CEL. Nonetheless, it’s essential to run a diagnostic with an OBD scanner to pinpoint the exact reason for a CEL, as it can indicate a wide range of issues beyond just transmission fluid levels.

are electric vehicles heavier

Indeed. the weight of an electric vehicle EV is typically greater than that of a comparable gasoline-powered vehicle. This can be attributed to the use of batteries in EVs. with lithium-ion batteries being the most common and relatively heavy. For instance. the battery positioned in the center of a Tesla Model S weighs approximately 1.200 pounds. Nevertheless. EVs are strategically designed with their batteries placed low to create a lower center of gravity. resulting in improved balance and handling despite the added weight.
